Speeding
Up Play
·
Play ready golf. When you arrive at the tee box, be prepared
to tee off. Never hold up play because
you’re in the middle of a conversation.
·
Begin preparing before you get to
your ball – use the travel time to plan your next shot – yardage, club, etc.
·
Each member of a group should
proceed directly to his ball.
·
After hitting, don't clean or put
your club away until you've reached your ball or the green.
·
When cart rule is 90 degrees, the
driver of the cart should drop off the passenger at their ball and proceed to
the driver's ball.
·
Line your putt up while others
are putting.
·
Carry extra tees, ball markers, spare balls to prevent having to return to your golf bag.
·
Park behind the green and mark
scores at the next tee box.
·
Do not spend excessive time
looking for lost balls. If you can't
find it in about a minute, it's probably lost so take a drop and hit another
ball.
·
If the group behind you is
waiting and you can't see the group in front of you . . . you're behind!
